Order, September 30, 1761, addressed to Charles-Michel Mouet de Langlade, the French commander of Fort Michilimackinac, by the new commander, William Leslye, requiring Langlade to inform all inhabitants of Michilimackinac that they were to surrender the arms in their possession.

Lieutenant in the 60th, or Royal American Regiment. When the French surrendered Fort Michilimackinac on Sept. 28, 1761, to the Royal Americans led by Capt. Henry Balfour, Leslye assumed command of the fort.
